According to Musk, he will become executive chairman and chief technology officer.
As the new CEO of Twitter, Elon Musk has appointed Linda Yaccarino, a senior executive at NBC Universal, to take his place.
In a tweet on Friday, Musk announced the appointment and stated that Yaccarino will “focus primarily on business operations, while I focus on product design & new technology.”
According to The Wall Street Journal, which broke the news first, Yaccarino oversaw thousands of employees and around $13 billion in annual ad sales while serving as chair of global advertising and partnerships at the media firm. She is said to have a close working connection with marketers and advertisers, which might allay ongoing worries businesses have about Twitter in the wake of Musk’s takeover.
I’m pleased to formally welcome Twitter’s new CEO, Linda Yaccarino!I concentrate on product design and emerging technologies, whereas @LindaYacc will mostly focus on business operations.
